Call for Participants in Recreation Boxing for Survivors of Sexual Assault

Ran by Shape Your Life Toronto

SYL is a recreational boxing program for female identified survivors of violence. This project is a partnership between the Toronto Newsgirls Boxing Club, Opportunity for Advancement and Brock University. SYL classes began in the fall of 2007 and so far approximately 1200 female identified survivors have taken part. To learn more about Shape Your Life, please go to https://shapeyourlifeboxing.com/

There will be a new session beginning August 20th. It is a 14 week program and takes place on Saturday afternoons. The programs starts at 2:30 and ends at 4:30

This is a free program. At each class, snacks and TTC will be provided.

The SYL boxing classes are designed for beginners, so you don’t need to be super fit or have any experience with sports in order to participate.
